I can't believe the holidays are all over. I had a great week of celebrating Christmas and (my first) Hanukkah with lots of food and family time in the sunshine state.

Truly precious. I am so happy to be a part of an amazing loving family.

Above some pics of May and I right before I flew down to Florida. Love NYC during x-mas time. It is so magical with all the lights, x-mas decorations, and the beautiful tree. I was keeping my toes and fingers crossed that I would be so lucky to get to see some snow before I flew down south. No such luck. It looks like snow is not on the calendar in the near future, so I fell content to know that I am not missing out! Hopefully, the Sweden trip in mid jan will bring some snow my way;)

After Lucia last Sat night we hoped in a cab that took us up to 81st & madison where we dined at the fabulous Crown restaurant. Their foie gras with figs terraine and their truffle pasta made me think I had died and gone to heaven! The drinks are delish (the spiced pear Tom Collins is a must!) and the decor is beautiful. Def worth a visit. Chatting the night away in good company, after one to many drinks we realized that we were about the only ones left in the restaurant and decided to put on a photo shoot. haha

Last Saturday night was partially spent (we ended the night by closing down Crown restaurant lol. pics to come) at the annual Swedish Church's Lucia Celebration at the Lutheran Church on 65th & Central Park West.

The Girl with the Drago Tattoo just had its London premiere. I can not wait for it to start showing in the US (12-20-20110). I am a big fan of the trilogy! Although the swedish movie versions were terrible, well at least the first movie, the second one was a little better, I am beyond excited to see how the Hollywood version will be like. Specially since David Fincher is the director.

Katya and I at Kibo this past Thursday. This restaurant is at the same location where Japonais used to be (I was a frequent visitor while in school in the area), and I must say the decor hasn't really changed much from the days of Japonais and the food is still fab. It def gets a thumbs up on my list. If you can get seated in one of the booths you might get stuck there for a while... They are super comfortable! Imagine lovely company, delish food, and yummy food.... why wouldn't one want to linger.

SO nice to catch up with K, had not seen her in ages....!

She is in Colombia now, Im so jealous!

Never understood those brave, brave persons who camp outside stores for hrs for a few good deals on Black Friday. Specially when you can be smart about it and shop online from the comforts of your own home. Of course, I, did all my shopping online and I did it on Cyber Monday. haha. I know I'm a nerd! Just got all my goodies in the mail today!

I am definitly going to keep the Acne and Dvf dress, the Alice+Olivia skirt I feel in love with as well. The DVF dress is just picture perfect for any holiday party. The Acne dress is beyond fabulous, I can wear it for dinner/drinks out! The maxi skirt from A+O I love love how it makes your waist look super tiny.. and it makes you the rest of your body look slender! The best part.......>> when you twirl it twirls haha... super flirty! Love it!

The Acne shirt wasn't that great looking on, same goes for the Marlene Birger dress. They looked beautiful online (specially the MB-dress) but once I tried them on they didn't look nearly as good--both items will be shipped back to the store.

3 out of 5 isn't to bad right?! -)

Boy did I get lucky. After my big disappointment at the Stella McCartney store on Sunday I went on net-a-porter to see what sizes they might have available. And... guess what ?! Not only did they have my size (well... a 36, not really my size since I am a 32 but that was the smallest size the skirt came in. Its funny when I shop for skirts at J.Crew most of the time even the 00 is to big. I'm starting to think that I am to skinny. haha. Of course, I know that will never be the case though, you can never be to skinny;)) but also it was also on SALE. Oh yes! 50% off.

Just tried it on.. and it could be a little bit tighter, but that's where a fab tailor comes in the picture. I feel like I have to get lots of my clothes custom fitted anyways. I have hips and a tiny waist... I guess the hour glass shape... I know most ladies would kill for it BUT sometimes it is very frustrating! A lot of skirts fit good over my hips but then are to big on my waist....

Anyhow I just wanted to share my joy!

Started off the day with a delish brunch at Kingswood. Their fried egg sandwich was super yummy! It was so good that I kept eating well after I was full! Done eating we went for a well deserved walk on Blecker street. Must say that I kept the shopping to a minimum. My goal was the Stella McCartney store in the Meatpacking District. You see, I had found a fabulous pencil skirt online earlier in the week and just couldn't wait to try it on... Unfortunately for me, they did not have my size at that particular store so I have to be patient..... and wait -hopefully my size is somewhere to be found and can hopefully be shipped to me (that's what the sales person had to say in an attempt to comfort my huge disappointment)....... Check it out right here. & I'm sure you will understand my obsession. It's stunning;)

While in the neighborhood we ended up getting a drink @ Catch. A tip is the Mighty Aphrodite which was to die for! I could see my self easily having ten of those... one after the other.... haha

Ended the evening with a movie @ Angelika. My week with Marilyn. Michelle Williams- what a beauty!

Our practice Thanksgiving dinner Sunday was spectacular (we named it friendsgiving)!! I love what we did decoration wise. It made the condo look super cozy, inviting, and so beautiful.

I am so thankful for having these amazing people in my life. Most of all I am thankful for having found the best partner anybody could ever ask for. Thanx darling for making this happen.

I am not the biggest fan but thought it would be fun to see them live.... And.. I wasn't wrong! We had so much fun. They definitely put on a great show, not stopping until they reached the 3hr mark... Some of the tunes definitely brought me back in time...!!

This year we are hosting two Thanksgiving dinners. We are doing one practice turkey day this Sunday and then the real Thanksgiving on Thursday of course. Last year we got help with cooking the turkey, I didn't have anything to do with it.. This year I am cooking two. I have never ever before cooked a turkey (you might know that Thanksgiving is not a holiday in Sweden), hence why we are having a practice day...

For a week now we have been organizing, planning, shopping, finding chairs to rent, finding the right florist to do the center pieces, putting the recipes together...etc... and trying not to go nuts...
For the most part it has been lots of fun.

We will have 14 ppl over for each dinner, Sunday being the friends day and Thursday being the family day. When I stopped obsessing that I might screw up the turkey and calmed down about having to cook so much food, I started realizing what this whole thing actually is about. There is the food yes, but also, as important are the people , enjoying the company...and guess what, if something goes wrong there is always pizza. One call away haha. Besides Im looking forward to the experience and being a pro at it next year around

I realize my last update has not happened since Easter. There are multiple reasons (mostly excuses) to why no new updates have taken place. So lets get started.

Beginning of May I went to Paris then Sweden. I came back to the US and we moved out to East Hampton for the summer. Of coarse while at the beach there was no way I had time to blog. Time passed bbq-ing, planning parties, doing lots of horseback riding, having my mommy and daddy over... etc.... Soon enough we were back in Europe again.. Sweden, Italy, Croatia, & Greece... then en-route to the US.... Miami waited.. and so did Napa Valley.... safe to say months away from the blog have been spent traveling or horseback riding.

But, I am back. I just decided. Today. It's time to share some thoughts, ideas, opinions, interests, laughs, cries.... and so on..

Plus I missed you. The blog. And all of you out there. Who read. Take interest. Etc.

Easter Brunch turned out to be a huuuuge meal.... surprisingly we never made it to church! Started off at La Botega's outdoor serving where we enjoyed eggs and mimosas..... made our way to The Standard where we had moooore drinks.... decided we were hungry again and moved on to Pastis where yumilicious fries, oysters, and a creme brulee was offered..... we ended the night when the rain came and well satisfied with some swedish candies at Sockerbit.

By now we all are well aware that Blake Lively is the Ambassador for Chanel. Above she is at the chic NYC restaurant Le Grenouille (I am going there for dinner next week) where she was being honored as the new face for Chanel's Mademoiselle Collection (see below).

She looks Tres Chic in the white Chanel frock from the 2009 collection. I also adore the matching Louboutin's-- super cute!

The ad was shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself and are the first in a series that will appear in magazines starting April.

The other day I was discussing with my friend about why I had not yet received my Gucci Suede Sandals that I had pre-ordered way back in December.. It seemed strange that as of yet there were not in my hands. Ironically enough though, the next day I got an email from Saks.com confirming shipment of my new babies. Two days later I had a big smile on my face.

I ate pink cupcakes (YUM!)... I worked out with a pink training ball... and I tried my best not to faint in the heat... It has been 85F today....!! It is finally cooling down a bit, a slight breeze is moving in... I couldn't be happier because its about time for my ride.
